Tactical Support Firearms Training wants our students to leave knowing that they have learned how to carry a concealed handgun safely legally and responsibly. Our instructors possess a wealth of knowledge in firearms design, systems and function, as well as experience in shooting and improving accuracy.

We offer A comprehensive Basic Pistol Course that consists  six hours of class time and two hours of live fire experience on the gun range . This course meets the certification requirement to obtain an Ohio Concealed Handgun License.

Personalized Training

Our goal is to provide you with a flexible class schedule to make our course available to everyone who wants to attend. Please check our registration page for current schedules and rates. 

Please note that a  non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your seat in the class. 

What You Need to Bring

You may use your own pistol if you have one. Note that you will need a minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition, a pen and note pad.

If you don't have your own firearm, you may use one of ours at no charge.  For experienced shooters, please note that no hand loads or reloads are permitted.

Class Structure 

Two Day Class – The two day class will consist of four hours of classroom instruction. and two hours of range time for eight to ten students that day. On the second day, class will meet for two hours and the remaining students will qualify on the range. All students need to be present for the first two hours of the second day so they meet the 8 hour requirements since the class is split into two days. Students that qualified on the range the first day will test on the second day along with the remaining students and may leave after that with their certificate, provided they have met all prescribed requirements.

Range time is scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. After you register, you can email or call to learn what range time appointment you have been assigned.

One Day Class – Students will meet at the scheduled time for eight hours, two of which will be range time. Please check the class schedule and note the time for the class that you wish to attend before you register and pay your deposit as deposits are non-refundable.
